Program Packages that Match Your E-Commerce Activity
The Ariba Supplier Membership Program (SMP) has four levels of participation. Whether you transact just a few documents per year or are a high-volume seller, each level is tailored to meet your needs by combining functionality, services, and other resources into a package that matches your current level of e-commerce activity. All new members start with the Basic package, and you can upgrade to another level at any time to gain additional functionality and services. Otherwise your package will eventually be determined by:
- The number of documents you transact over the Ariba Network
- Your total monetary transaction volume
- The number of qualifying customers you work with
- The extent of electronic automation required by your business
Regardless of which package you use, each will help you quickly extend your back-end ERP systems and processes — rather than replace them — using a single, comprehensive, global platform for working with your customers. And you can easily incorporate collaborative solutions to streamline and automate your order, invoice, payment, and working capital processes.
The SMP Packages
The four SMP packages are Basic, Business, Integrated, and Enterprise. The Basic package is free. The remaining three are bundled with Ariba Network subscription fees to provide increasing levels of value-added functionality; commerce management tools and training; technical support; and account management resources.
- Basic—For low-volume sellers and those just getting started on the Ariba Network. Provides everything needed to transact with customers, including collaborative order-to-cash capabilities, reporting, account administration, and global support.
- Business—For higher-volume sellers that need more sophisticated business commerce capabilities and educational tools. All the functionality of the Basic package, plus catalog and e-commerce training courses, and such advanced features as enhanced order routing and reporting.
- Integrated—For advanced users. All of the functionality of the Business package, plus such extra resources as 24/7 technical support and system-to-system integration tools (including unlimited use of CIF and Ariba PunchOut technologies and EDI- and cXML-based integration).
- Enterprise—For sellers who take a proactive approach to business commerce, maximizing Ariba Network collaboration for greater ROI. All the functionality of the Integrated package, plus dedicated account management, customized benchmarking reports, and a demo license to use Ariba Procure-to-Pay, with which sellers can optimize customer experiences.
In Short, Here's How Most Suppliers Get Started
- Automatically enroll in the Basic package upon joining.
- Begin transacting immediately, free of charge.
- When annual transaction volume equals 50,000 USD or more and annual document count is five or more, chargeable threshold is crossed.
- Then, pay only 0.155% of transaction volume per qualifying Ariba Network relationship (i.e., 15 1/2 cents per 100 USD document) to sustain your subscription.
- Fees are charged on either an annual or a quarterly basis, depending on when the relationship became a high-volume, paying relationship.
- Upgrade is automatic, determined by volume.
